Children and Families
Children are most welcome at St Denys and we try to provide for all ages and needs. We also have good links with a number of local schools who regularly visit the church. The 19th Leicester (Evington) Scout group attend church parades during the year. They have their own website here.

Under 5's
We have a well-equipped children's corner at the back of the church with books and games, as well as plenty of paper and crayons. You are most welcome to make use of this area during any of our services.
Our Worship for All service on the first Sunday of every month always includes opportunities for even the youngest to take part, whether it be joining in the drama, banging a tambourine or other activity linked to the Bible story for the day.

5-14's
Our Junior Church meets on Sundays in the Parish Centre from 9.45am. The children meet in three different age groups and then join the rest of the congregation for communion.
The teaching is provided by volunteers from within the church and consists of bible related stories and craft activities. There are also opportunities to take part in dramatic reading and fun sketches, which grow the children's understanding and confidence.
Junior Church don't usually meet during school holidays or on the first and last Sunday when the children join in with the Worship for All service and the Communion for All Ages.
