Autumn Learning

There are lots of opportunities for learning this autumn at St Denys.

First there are our autumn house groups.  This term we are looking at St Paul's Letter to the Philippians.  There will be four sermons, the first on Sunday 21st September.  The groups will meet together six times to work through this amazing letter of encouragement and joy.  There will also be time given over to worship and prayer.  There are four groups meeting weekly and one fortnightly, some in the daytime and some in the evening.  You can sign up at the back of church or contact the Vicar for more information.

Secondly, we are running the second stage of the Pilgrim Course, looking at the Lord's Prayer.  This group meets monthly on a Sunday evening at the Vicarage.  Contact the Vicar if you are interested.

Thirdly, there is the Start! course for people exploring what the Christian faith is all about.  This is a six-session course meeting weekly at the Vicarage starting on 1st October at 7.30pm.  Again, contact the Vicar if you are interested in joining us.

Finally, it's good to know more about our own faith, but it's good to learn about others too and we have a trip to Leicester's Progressive Synagogue on Monday 6th October at 7pm.  We will learn about Jewish worship and particularly the festival of Sukkot.  Sign up at the back of church, or contact the Vicar to book a place.
