In 2007 the PCC took the decision to sell the Curate's house and use the money to redevelop the old vestry building which had stood next to the Church since the 1950s.

The plans for the new building were submitted for approval by the Council and the Diocese in 2012.  The plans include toilets, a kitchen, an office and a versatile meeting space.  In April 2013 permission was given for the new building to be built.

We hope to update this page with pictures of the project as it unfolds, so watch this space!

21st October 2013: Project Manager Peter Stuart formally hands over the keys to the Vicar.  The Parish Centre has passed its building inspection and is fit for occupation!
27th September 2013: Very nearly there!  The outside is mostly finished and we can get in to start decorating.  Completion date should now be 21st October.  Come back soon for finished pictures ...

13th June 2013: The inside walls are going up faster than we could have imagined!

1st August 2013: The building is going well and it won't be long before we see the roof going on now.

18th April 2013: The Faculty arrives to much excitement and now we wait for the work to begin.

4th June 2013: Tim Stratford, the Archdeacon of Leicester, dedicated the building work in a short ceremony.  It was a day of glorious sunshine and great excitement.  We were joined by Mayor, Sir Peter Soulsby, Councillor Baljit Singh, as well as local clergy, community members and children from Krishna Avanti Primary School.  Children from Linden School gave us a rousing fanfare on their dohl drums too.
